Managing Experienced Employees: Leadership Skills for Gen X and Millennials

For the first time in working history, younger generations are managing older generations in the workplace. In fact, it is becoming increasingly common for Gen Xers and Millennials to be managing employees from the Baby Boomer and Traditionalist generations. More and more Baby Boomers are delaying retirement because they are living longer, are healthier, enjoy working, and in many cases can’t afford to retire. There are fundamental differences in the way in which we approach the workplace, so younger leaders need to appreciate and be able to manage experienced employees in ways that engage and motivate them according to their expectations.

This workshop allows younger leaders to improve their ability to motivate their experienced employees. Participants will work through scenarios and management challenges specifically geared to managing experienced generations.
