Leadership Series of Virtual Workshops
Managing Virtual Teams & Leading in a Flexible Work Environment
Increasingly organizations are structuring teams that reside in different locations and who must collaborate virtually. Even when team members are in the same city, often employees work remotely or have different work arrangements, which results in less and less face time together. Managers and leaders must be able to adapt their leadership style to ensure that they can engage and motivate team members in remote locations and different work environments. Coaching, mentoring, managing performance and building trust must all be accomplished using technology to facilitate high impact interactions.
This two-part interactive virtual workshop explores how to engage virtual team members by applying best practices, effective leadership skills and the appropriate technology. We explore the advantages & challenges of leading in a virtual environment and how to build trust and effective lines of communication among team members. Successfully Leading Through Change
Change is constant in organizations, yet employees and managers alike are often ill prepared to navigate the change process. How you respond to change affects your stress level and performance level on a daily basis. From budget cuts, to changes in leadership, to downsizing, to new processes, employees today need to adapt to change and be able to quickly move through the stages of change to embrace the new direction. So how do you respond to change? How do you lead in a changing environment?
Change is always difficult. It’s not the process to change it that creates a problem. It’s how do we respond to the changes we are facing. Not all people respond to change the same way.
In this workshop you will understand the stages of change and the different responses to change and how we all react to the change process. You will learn how to manage yourself and your employees through change, while reducing the impact on productivity. Feedback, Coaching and Having Difficult Conversations in a Virtual World
Coaching and feedback are important tools for growth and development. Everyone needs feedback and coaching! Especially right now. This is not a time to let coaching and feedback go. In fact, it is a time where more coaching and feedback is required to keep people connected to the vision and organization, motivated and engaged, improving performance, and developing relationships. It looks like a lot of people will continue to work from home as social distancing continues, and this means we must get comfortable with providing virtual feedback and coaching.
In our completely virtual world, performance issues are becoming obvious. This means that as well as engaging in feedback and coaching with the individual, we need to be able to engage in difficult conversations. And we need to do all of this virtually. Not only does this workshop teach feedback, coaching and difficult conversations, but it also gives participants a chance to experience these techniques in a virtual environment and raise their level of skill and confidence.
This is a highly interactive virtual workshop. You will work with your colleagues and practice feedback, coaching and having difficult conversations during this 2-part series. So, bring your challenges! You will get a chance to work with real scenarios and situations.
